PROGRAMS & CONNECTIONS
“The Way” to Reading
To show children value and to equip through educational skills, we currently serve 1st and 2nd grade students and teachers at Waynesburg Central Elementary School. Volunteers come into the school for a maximum of 1 hour each visit to help struggling readers; to listen to students read aloud; to work on letters and sounds; practice spelling words; and overall, just to encourage and support students and their classroom teachers.
We are actively seeking more volunteers especially as we add additional schools this fall. Each volunteer needs to have security clearances but we walk you through the process.
The Cherry Door
The Cherry Door is managed by The Way in partnership with the Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation. We are so grateful for the volunteers at The Cherry Door and for the opportunity to serve the community. We welcome your donations of gently used clothing and small household items. The Foundation contributes a portion of the proceeds to cover the costs when the buyer needs financial assistance.
Volunteers are always appreciated.
STEAM After-School Program

Startable Entrepreneurship Program
